![]() Maybe there's a pile that's blocking a critical Workshop from working or you've got to get the gates rebuilt, pronto? Or, perhaps, you did miscalculate and a bunch of mining trails are truly starting to make you worried? But, you should aways try to get your gnomis work-system working right, as soon as you can, instead of filling in with Clean Floor commands. But, it should be used only in Emergencies, where you absolutely need to clean up a floor. Lastly - Clean Floor is there for a reason, of course. They can still happen though, particularly around harvest time when there's lots of stuff going on, many gnomes in the field, and some hauling gets skipped. Later game nasty golems are usually rare, since by the late game, most players have their stockpile and hauling systems fairly fine-tuned. Straw/dirt golems are low on the threat list and most gnomes, even civilians, can handle one by themselves. At least, most early game goblins aren't. If you're still low on gnomes, put Hauling as a high priority for your miners/farmers/soldiers until you can get some extra gnomes.Īlso, don't dig out more than you can clean up! ) Dedicated Haulers (Those with Hauling at the top of their Profession's task list) are a must as soon as you can. Make sure that you have at least a couple of gnomes with Hauling as a high priority in their Profession. (A few days, once you reach the threshold? The wiki's security cert has expired and nobody has stepped up to renew it, so I don't go there anymore.) It's not likely that a large amount of dirt is going to spawn a golem in a short amount of time. (I have noticed that this isn't always the case, but it may just be chance.) This isn't bad if the items are near a stockpile, but it sucks if they aren't. Do not clear large areas of items with the Clean Floor command! When you have large amounts of items not being stockpiled, it's a sign that "You're doing something wrong" or, worse, there's a glitch you need to fix.Ĭlean Floor forces gnomes to count every item in that area by itself and they'll be much less likely to use bags/wheelbarrows to gather items.
